Dell Primary School

Junior Leaders

At Dell, we believe in a pupil led culture where children take on key leadership roles and get their voice heard. We whole-heartedly value the work of our pupil leaders, moulding leaders of the future, ready for work, ready for the world. We strive to craft confident and articulate leaders who can apply their leadership skills to real life situations. The intent is to offer children the opportunities to develop our school and local community, so that it continues to grow, thrive and succeed.

Junior Leaders and Head Pupils

We have a team of 7 junior leaders chosen from our Year 6 cohort. Pupils have to apply for the role and are interviewed by the outgoing junior leadership team. 2 of the junior leaders are elected as 'Head Pupils'.

Pupil Parliament

One pupil from each class (Y1 - Y6) is elected by their peers annually to be part of our pupil parliament. They meet with a member of the leadership team, at least half termly, to share their views and ideas about our school. The pupil parliament are responsible for selecting a charity each year for and suggest/promote fundraising ideas in school.

For the academic year 2024-2025 the pupil parliament have chosen to support the Lowestoft Lifeboat (RNLI) as their chosen charity. They are now busy planning their first fundraising event!
